Nancy Agati

Nancy Agati works with handmade clay or slate-based paint, ink, and polymer. She is interested in the organic nature of line, and much of the imagery or objects she transcribes are derived from the natural world. She has exhibited her work widely throughout Philadelphia, nationally, and abroad including solo exhibitions at the Philadelphia Art Alliance, Pentimenti Gallery, Philadelphia, and Hillyer Art Space, Washington, DC.  Agati has been a recipient of a Windows of Opportunity Grant from the Leeway Foundation and has been awarded artist-in-residence placements at the Santa Fe Art Institute, New Mexico, Lo Studio dei Nipoti, Calabria, Italy, and Main & Station in Nova Scotia.
